Since we do not possess these pre independence records, a middleman claiming to be a journalist from Jamuna TV approached us, offering to resolve the issue in exchange for a bribe. Left with no viable alternative to navigate the bureaucracy and settle our property rights, we are forced to pay.

my land tax shows in website is 1240 tk, but when i go office and ask for paid, the officer(scamer) said it is 15500 tk , also i am see the website here now 15500, i am shock, however i am paid total amount, then he give me 1240 tk receipt, i am seeing why 1240 tk , then he left the office

I went to the Mirpur 10 Land Office to pay the land tax (khajna) for an apartment. After arriving, I was told that a minor correction was needed because the area name was incorrect in the khatian (land record). I was asked to pay BDT 12,000 for making this correction. When I asked whether the application could be submitted online, I was told that the server was down. However, within an hour of paying the money, the application was submitted online.
Went for mutation, demanded 20k. Gave 15k. Still holding on 3 months now.
