বিগত বছরের খাজনা বকেয়া ছিল ২০ টাকা কিন্তু সেটা অনলাইনে পেমেন্ট করার সিস্টেম থাকলেও ইউনিয়ন ভূমি অফিসের এপ্রুভাল না পাওয়ায় ক্লিয়ার করা যাচ্ছিলো না। এই ক্লিয়ারেন্স পেতে তারা ২০০০০/- দাবি করে। এই ঘটনা প্রত্যেকের সাথে ঘটছে যারা বকেয়া খাজনা পরিশোধ করতে যাচ্ছেন। ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে নওগাঁ জেলার ধামইরহাট উপজেলার আগ্রাদ্বিগুন ইউনিয়ন ভূমি অফিসে। আমি একজনের কাছে জমি কিনেছি ২৫ শতাংশ। এবং বিক্রেতা যখন খাজনা পরিশোধ করতে যায় তখন এই সমস্যার সম্মুখীন হন। শেষ পর্যন্ত তারা বিক্রেতার কাছে ১৫০০০/- আদায় করে এবং পরে কর আদায়ের রশিদে দেখা যায় বকেয়া খাজনা ছিল মাত্র ২০/-

The situation occured during land mutation process at baunia land office. My plot is in mirpur 12. Though i had every document required, an official requested an amount of 45000 tk. i rejected that proposal anyway. But the problem is - the work is lagging a lot due to not engaging them with bribe. I wanted to do mutation of my land. I have applied in land bd website. All my documents were legit but it was declined by land office. Then after sometime while leaving the office, a stuff of the office called me outside the office to talk. He offered me that it will be done if i pay them 9000 taka.
I went to the Sub-Registry Office to buy a piece of land from my own sister. As usual, they sent me to the Municipal Land Office to pay the land tax. The land tax was only 120 taka. Then the officer at the Land Office asked me to give them some money for tea and snacks as well. I had no choice but to give them 250 taka. They are collecting bribes like this from everyone, not just from me.
