আমার বাসার মিটারের জন্য ব্যাটারি প্রয়োজন ছিল। এই ব্যাটারিটি ফ্রি হওয়ার কথা ছিল। কিন্তু আমাকে ফ্রি এর বদলে ৩৫০ টাকা দেওয়া প্রয়োজন পড়েছে। এর মধ্যে ২০০ টাকা নিয়েছে ডিপিডিসি অফিসে যার থেকে আমি ব্যাটারিটা কালেক্ট করি। বাকি ১৫০ টাকা পরিশোধ করতে হয়েছে যেই ব্যক্তিটি আমার বাড়িতে এসে মিটারের মধ্যে ব্যাটারি সংযোগ করে দিয়েছে।

Mamla ase likhe dibo report e. I didn't advance the conversation and paid him 1500. Got the clearance within 2-3 days

A document was submitted to a clerk named — for his higher authoritiy's approval. Everything was okay. He kept it delayed. He didn’t ask money directly. Rather delayed for over a month so that I offer him money which I won't.
I took all the required document properly but somehow it was not enough. For my Newborn's Birth Certificate i need to show my fathers holding tax. Even after showing that he kept me waiting for days. then asked for 1000tk. After giving the money, he asked me to come next day. This cycle followed 3times until i finally received the certificate. Baffled how this country is running its civil services.
আজকের ৮ মার্চ ২০২৬ বিকাল ৩ টার আমি আর — যাই কাশিনাথপুর এলাহী সুপার মার্কেটে — এর ফোন কিনতে। তো আমরা রীতিমতো ফোন কিনার জন্য দোকানে গেলে ফোন পেয়েও যাই এবং এক ফোন থেকে অন্য যে ফোন কেনা হয়েছে সেই ফোনে ডাটা ট্রান্সফার করতে সময় লাগবে সেই জন্য আমরা সেই দোকানের ভিতর বসে ফোনের ডাটা গুলো ট্রান্সফার করা শুরু করি। দোকানে ঢুকে ডাটা ট্রান্সফার করার একটু পর একটা ছেলে এসে দোকানদারকে জিজ্ঞেস করতেছে যে ভাই ৬ হাজার টাকার মধ্যে কোন ফোন আছে নাকি। সেই ছেলে দুই থেকে তিনবার দোকানে আসা যাওয়া করার পর তিনজন পুলিশ আসে সিভিল ড্রেসে তারা এসে দোকানদার জিজ্ঞেস করতেছে তারা একটা ফোন বিক্রি করেছিলো একটা ক্রেতার কাছে এবং সেই ফোনটা নাকি একটা মার্ডার মামলার আসামির। একথা বলতে বলতে দোকানদের কে বলতেছে ফোনের কাগজ পত্র দেখ
I was need of Land Use Clearance form Chittagong Development Authority,after going there several times i got to know about some agents (they work in CDA) and they can grant LUC so i need to bribe them to get LUC
As expats we require various documents furnished from Bangladesh for various purposes in the country of our residence. To obtain a document in Bangladesh can be a nightmare. For the show we have all these digitized proceses but none of them actually work. I applied for the e apostlization of the marriage certificate of my parents online (didnt work) and then in person (rejected). The document is already notorized and attested by the MOFA. But since this new e apostle system has been introduced it is mandatory to get all the documents apostled. They are asking for 15000 bdt.
I am currently working in a Govt. owned autonomous power plant. After joining, a police verification process was initiated by the office as required. The officer visited my permanent address at Patuakhali, as only our caretaker lives there he only checked out the house, asked some info and left. Few days later he came to Barishal where my parents live in their owned house (probably found address from info given by caretaker) unannounced. Then he show the village house photos and was talking about family with my father. Although he did not ask for the bribe but he implied he visited here and there with his bike. And my father gave him the money so that the verification process doesn’t hamper.
The office clerk named — of Upozilla Primary Education Office at Companiganj always charge bribe directly or indirectly from every teachers regard any kind of service, like, Joining, increment, return from medical leave, for Crediting salary when on maternity Leave. in my case, i had to pay the bribe for my salary when i was in maternity leave.
If you apply for correcting your name in all Education certificates, you have to apply to Secondary Education Board, Dhaka. The queue is about 3 years long. And asks for unnecessary documents like PSC certificate correction which exam doesn't even exist now. After correcting PSC certificate which took 5 months, i went before the secondary education board. They asked for 15K to arrange a appointment in a week. I refused. Its 3 years now, did not get an appointment.
I have a tiles business. I don't know why I need fire License as there are no fire hazards product in my shop. Still people from fire service office scaring me that they can send mobile court and sealed off my business if I don't get the fire License. And to make the fire License I have to pay 10000 taka. There is no obvious chart or can't find online the actual amount. On e fire License I can't find in which category I will applied

paid the NID name correction bribery for my mother-in-law's NID due to urgent passport renewal. The officer initially demanded 12000 BDT, then after realizing urgency he demanded 3000 BDT more and threatened by saying "if you even go official or unofficial procedure in any other way, it will go through me and I will see how it can be approved." eventually forced to pay in total of 15000 BDT and corrected the NID just within 1 hour after that.
Without paying this they do not want to open the gateway amd therefore salaries are withheld.
