At narsingdi post office First of all the booking officer refused to accept my parcel and said only food items are allowed. Then he started to making new rules. Why package is small it has to be big. How do I know about this service. If I went to other courier offices they will charge me 150tk or more. So I have to make his hand a little full, I must make him happy. Service charge was 11tk, I give him 20 and he refused he don't have any change. Also demand 100 tk as he is working to book my parcel. Later I had to bribe him 50 tk. No other way.

আমার বাবা কৃষিতে ব্যবহৃত কীটনাশক ও ঔষধের ব্যবসার লাইসেন্স করতে গেলে তারা বলে ১৩০০০ টাকা দিলে কোনো ঝামেলা ছাড়াই পেয়ে যাবেন। আর না দিলে অডিট পার করতে পারবেন না।

Police verification for my government job.

There were three stage verification for my current government job. Before joining a verification was done by DSB Netrakona and Demanded 4000 TK Through mobile call (+880 16**-****24). He was a SI of police. Then after 1 year another verification was done for confirmation of my job.This time I gave 3000tk to another SI (013**-****31). For verification of my College certificate in Mymensingh Cantonment public school and College I gave 500 tk.though bkash to +880 16**-****77 or 013**-****80.I joined to my job in 2021.

NID and Birth Certificate Correction

I was not alone! First time in life required to pay bribery, As they were keep refuseing to do so to correct my documents. My NID and Birth certificate correction. Due to urgent Requirment, i paid 35k As they made it fixed. It is happed in Cumilla District, Barura Upazila office. On that day i observed several other real scenario, all of them were corrupt and they all united and carry out bribery, distribute gain among all officers. My observation : 1/ There were long queue Countless man/women are standing outside. 2/ They gives priority first those who paid. I was 3rd they called me, i asked several guy were u paid them any money or it was normal. All of them said yes we did paid.

General Provident Fund

When I went to the Pension Section of the Directorate General of Family Planning at Kawran Bazar regarding my father’s GPF and iBAS matters, they would keep the file pending for a long time. As a result, even after his retirement, there was a delay in receiving his pension money. Eventually, I was forced to pay BDT 80,000 in two installments. They usually ask for the money to be deposited through bKash at a shop near the office, so that there is no record or evidence of the payment.

I was a resident of — Hall, University of Dhaka. The hall officer asked me to pay 600 Tk saying this is an official fee. However, when I asked him for voucher he refused. That time I realised, this is ghush. Hence, I paid it cause I wanted my certificates ASAP. I didn’t get it until two weeks anyway.

passport office police verification

I applied for the passport issuance and the police from Dhaka nicely verified my police verification. However, as I also need to verify it from my home district there the police called me to the station and asked me for bribe. I told him that I traveled and need to go back to Dhaka and I don't have that much money as he demanded 1000 taka. I refused and he said "Give me whatever you have, I will go for prayer(namaz)". So, I have approximately 558 - 560 taka I can't remember very well. He took it and went towards the mosque.

Pension Approval

I contacted the Upazila Accounts Office to withdraw my father’s pension money. They demanded approximately BDT 50,000 to obtain permission from Dhaka. After going through a lot of hassle, I ultimately had to pay BDT 30,000.

About Bail from jail

After getting bail, he was not released from jail because the addresses did not match. The case was filed using the city address, but the address written in the bail documents was based on the address on the voter ID. So, even though bail was granted, he was not allowed to leave the jail. Now, they are asking for 7,000 taka to correct the address and get him out from the jail.

withdrawing money that i got as advanced increment. DD office of Rajshahi, Maushi and account office of Bogura took all that bribe from me. Account office of Bogura asked for 4% bribe.

Police Clearance

The police officer that was in duty during my verification for the clearance pointed to a "missing data", even though that data is optional in the passport. According to him, this is not acceptable and will cause issue in airports specially, and he will be investigated if he clears me. So, I stated I will apply for a correction in my passport (I had time for that). When I said this, he told me to wait outside and kept my father in the office (my father went with me as well, because he knew I will not pay bribe), and kept the bribe from him. Then acted like he did me a massive favor

Board certificate correction

The thing is, I corrected my board certificates and got my copy. But the chittagong education board's lazy employees didn't make it online. So, I had to go there just to talk and collect the info. But those assistants and stupid peons had no time to talk and provide info, though they were sitting idle. But only when I brought out my money bag and gave 200 taka, he started explaining everything to me all on a sudden. Until this time, I asked so many time. That peon didn't utter a single word, not even graze his eye towards me. The irony is that I gave that money only to talk with him. And the place where I gave the bribe, one single quote was there: "আমার অফিস দুর্নীতিমুক্ত".

The police clearance supposed to be approve within 7 days after applied but the office of senbagh Police station not approve this.and after 7 days i contact to them and he asked 4000 Taka.after negotiations i paid 3500 tk.then next day i got it. It was happen September 2023.

Treasury Office + Election Office for Pension Work

My father passed away, so my mother receives his pension. When EFT was introduced, her pension was suspended due to an NID name mismatch. After three years of hassle at Gaibandha and Rangpur Election Offices, we corrected it. However, Sadullapur Treasury Office officials demanded a 15,000 BDT bribe to process her file. I contacted the Central Pension Office in Segunbagicha, Dhaka, where helpful officials resolved our issue for free. However, corrupt officials in Sadullapur continue to harass common citizens. Additionally, the local Sadullapur Election Office also takes illegal fees, forcing me to pay 500 BDT just to submit NID papers. This systemic corruption needs an immediate solution.
