আমি মনে করছিলাম টাকা দিতে হবে না। পুলিশ সরাসরি টাকা চেয়ে বসে। এমনকি ভেরিফিকেশন এর জন্য, আমার তথ্যও যাচাই করে নি। রহিংগা/ অন্য দেশের হলেও ভেরিফিকেশন করে দিত। শুধু টাকা নেওয়াই পুলিশের উদ্দেশ্য ছিল।
নতুন পাসপোর্ট বা নবায়ন যে সেবাই অনলাইনে এপ্লাই করেন না কেন, এই পাসপোর্ট অফিসে যাবেন এবং এরা আপনার সাথে কুকুরের ন্যায় আচরণ করবে এবং কোনো না কোনো সমস্যা বা ভুল বলে বারবার আপনাকে ঘুরাবে। অফিসের ভিতরে এবং বাইরে (গেটের ঠিক পাশেই প্রিন্ট-ফটোকপির দোকানগুলো দালালদের) তাদের দালালরা ঘুরাফেরা করবে এবং আপনাকে দ্রুত সমাধান অফার করবে, তাদের আবার নির্দিষ্ট রেট আছে যেটা সেট করে দেয় পাসপোর্ট অফিসের এডি থেকে নিয়ে সকল কর্মকর্তা কর্মচারিরা এবং প্রতিদিনের ঘুষ ভাগাভাগি করে নেয়। এপ্লিকেশন যদি দালাল দ্বারা করা হয় তারা বিভিন্ন কোডের মাধ্যমে তা যাচাই করে, যেমন দালালের নির্দিষ্ট ইমেইল এড্রেস, মার্ক এছাড়া ফোনের মাধ্যমে কনফার্মেশন। এই দালালের মার্ক না থাকলেই আপনাকে হয়রানি করা হবে, যতক্ষণ না আপনি তাদের দালালকে টাকা দিচ্ছ

পাসপোর্ট ভেরিফিকেশনের সময় পুলিশ টাকা দাবি করেছিল। প্রথম দিন আমি কম টাকা নিয়ে যাই, ৪০০ মত নিয়ে যাই। পুলিশ সেটা নেয় না। আমাকে ফেরত পাঠায়, এর পরে অন্য আরেকদিন আবার ডাকায় এবং আমার মানি ব্যাগ কেড়ে নিয়ে যা ছিল সব নেয়। ১৫০০টাকা আর কিছু ভাংতি ছিল।

By mistake I put my nickname in the passport renewal process.Which was not in the passport details earlier. Though they have the access to modify it.They told me to apply again after removing the nickname.When I asked it is obviously possible to modify the personal info as they have the access of it.They offered me that yes it's possible if I pay 2000BDT otherwise I have to reapply by paying nearly 6000BDT.So I have to pay 2000BDT. If they takes money for modifying peoples info in the passpory registration process,then what are the work they get paid from the government!!!
They forced me to give that.

Even after having all my documents in order, I was turned away by an officer at the Narail Passport Office for no clear reason. There was a simple mistake in the spouse’s name, and I had applied for express delivery. After the application was rejected, I immediately submitted a request to the relevant authority for correction. After three working days, I was informed that it would take additional time to delete the rejected online application from the portal. Meanwhile, a person at the next desk suggested that the mistake could be corrected immediately, but initially asked for Tk. 3,000. After bargaining, the amount was reduced to Tk. 2,000.
I told them I needed the passport as fast as possible since I had a flight to china to catch by the end of the month for a really important study tour. (I applied for express delivery 48 pages, 10 years, 8050 BDT, delivery within 7 working days) They claimed that I have filled many info wrongly and thus I need to apply again for the passport. Means I have to pay the 8K bdt again. They even told me that there are no ways I can correct "the infos I have wrongly written" and the only way is to apply again. I did not pay any extra money till the end. I got my passport by the end of the month after many re-visits and hassles and eventually missed my flight.
They don’t ask me any money as I was smart enough to but on verification, the sub inspector took 500 but he didn’t ask any money.
বৃদ্ধ দাদাকে ভেরিফিকেশনে হয়রানি করার পরে কিছু না পেয়ে গ্রামের নামের কথা বলে নেগেটিভ দিয়েছে। রিওয়ার্ক দেওয়ার পরে দ্বিতীয়বার আবার অন্যজন ভেরিফিকেশন করে বিদ্যুৎ বিল কপি নিয়ে উল্টাপাল্টা বলে অযথা ঝামেলা করেই যাচ্ছিলো। ৩০০০ টাকা নেওয়ার পর তিনি ভেরিফিকেশনে পজেটিভ দিয়েছে।
এসবি পুলিশ ভেরিফিকেশন করতে আসলে উনার অঙ্গ ভঙ্গি এক্সপ্রেশন হাবভাব দেখে বাধ্য হয়ে ৫০০ দিতে হয়েছে চা নাস্তা খেতে।

I went to the Mansurabad Passport Office with the required documents, but I was repeatedly sent from one counter to another and asked for additional documents. I felt I was being deliberately harassed because I had not come through a broker or known contact. Later, I was asked to pay Tk 2,500 to make the process easier. After paying, I immediately received a token. I also observed people allegedly paying Ansar members to get faster service. In my opinion, this experience shows that there is an organized system of corruption and broker-based services at the passport office, involving officials, police, Ansar members, and intermediaries.
