Birth Certificate Issue

I took all the required document properly but somehow it was not enough. For my Newborn's Birth Certificate i need to show my fathers holding tax. Even after showing that he kept me waiting for days. then asked for 1000tk. After giving the money, he asked me to come next day. This cycle followed 3times until i finally received the certificate. Baffled how this country is running its civil services.

Police Background Check

My US employer demanded a police background check before hiring me for a remote tech job. The procedure was very simple as I could easily apply online. Paid the fine for that too. But a police officer physically came to my address to verify and he was bothered by the fact that why there are so many cctv camera in my garage. Eventually he took me outside the building, and demanded 2000 tk for verification. I said that I already paid the fee. He clearly said, lakh lakh tk uran amake 2000 taka dite gaye lage? Mamla ase likhe dibo report e. I didn't advance the conversation and paid him 1500. Got the clearance within 2-3 days

Cheque withdrawal from DC office

My land was acquired by government for new road construction . Government approved money for acquisition but when I went DC office for withdrawal of money they demand bribe . I was totally helpless and i paid.

Flat Mutation Area Correction

I went to the Mirpur 10 Land Office to pay the land tax (khajna) for an apartment. After arriving, I was told that a minor correction was needed because the area name was incorrect in the khatian (land record). I was asked to pay BDT 12,000 for making this correction. When I asked whether the application could be submitted online, I was told that the server was down. However, within an hour of paying the money, the application was submitted online.

আমার মেয়ের বার্থ সার্টিফিকেট এ বাংলা নাম ভুল আসে। এটা ঠিক করতে দিলে তারা কাজটা না করে ঝুলিয়ে রাখে। পরে টাকা দাবি করে। না দিলে কাজ হবে না বলে স্পষ্ট জানিয়ে দেয়। পরে বাধ্য হয়ে টাকা দিয়ে কাজটি করাই। এটা ঢাকা মহাখালী বাস স্টান্ডের পাশে যে সিটি করপোরেশন এর অফিস, সেখানে ঘটেছে।

Police Verification for Job Confirmation

I am currently working in a Govt. owned autonomous power plant. After joining, a police verification process was initiated by the office as required. The officer visited my permanent address at Patuakhali, as only our caretaker lives there he only checked out the house, asked some info and left. Few days later he came to Barishal where my parents live in their owned house (probably found address from info given by caretaker) unannounced. Then he show the village house photos and was talking about family with my father. Although he did not ask for the bribe but he implied he visited here and there with his bike. And my father gave him the money so that the verification process doesn’t hamper.

The office clerk named — of Upozilla Primary Education Office at Companiganj always charge bribe directly or indirectly from every teachers regard any kind of service, like, Joining, increment, return from medical leave, for Crediting salary when on maternity Leave. in my case, i had to pay the bribe for my salary when i was in maternity leave.

Tax

my land tax shows in website is 1240 tk, but when i go office and ask for paid, the officer(scamer) said it is 15500 tk , also i am see the website here now 15500, i am shock, however i am paid total amount, then he give me 1240 tk receipt, i am seeing why 1240 tk , then he left the office

To buy a land in Rampal upazila at Bagerhat the corruptionists whom we call মুহুরী demanded 30k ghush in favour of Sub-Register and i had to pay the gush otherwise they wouldn’t register my land. I also complained to the local BNP upazila Chairman election candidate — but due to invisible reason all keep a muzzle on their mouth.
