After applying for our land mutation online, we waited a week for the scheduled hearing. Upon appearing before the AC Land officer, we were informed that our application could not be approved without land ownership documents dating back to 1963. Demanding documentation from 1963 ,years before the independence of Bangladesh in 1971, everything feels like a setup. Since we do not possess these pre independence records, a middleman claiming to be a journalist from Jamuna TV approached us, offering to resolve the issue in exchange for a bribe. Left with no viable alternative to navigate the bureaucracy and settle our property rights, we are forced to pay.
I took all the required document properly but somehow it was not enough. For my Newborn's Birth Certificate i need to show my fathers holding tax. Even after showing that he kept me waiting for days. then asked for 1000tk. After giving the money, he asked me to come next day. This cycle followed 3times until i finally received the certificate. Normally driving test is a three step examination. First you have to pass the written, then viva then practical to qualify for the test. I successfully passed the written and viva, was confident about my practical too. But in the practical exam line i found lot of people who were also passed in previous written, viva but got failed in practical because of not contacting a dalal. I got nervous but still confident about my driving. They didn’t said anything, in the evening result came out and i was fail. Then i contacted with a dalal and without even driving a car or bike i got passed. I have to gave hime 4000 for just passing in the practical.

The officer visited my permanent address at Patuakhali, as only our caretaker lives there he only checked out the house, asked some info and left. Few days later he came to Barishal where my parents live in their owned house (probably found address from info given by caretaker) unannounced. Then he show the village house photos and was talking about family with my father. Although he did not ask for the bribe but he implied he visited here and there with his bike. আমার মেয়ের বার্থ সার্টিফিকেট এ বাংলা নাম ভুল আসে। এটা ঠিক করতে দিলে তারা কাজটা না করে ঝুলিয়ে রাখে। পরে টাকা দাবি করে। না দিলে কাজ হবে না বলে স্পষ্ট জানিয়ে দেয়। পরে বাধ্য হয়ে টাকা দিয়ে কাজটি করাই। এটা ঢাকা মহাখালী বাস স্টান্ডের পাশে যে সিটি করপোরেশন এর অফিস, সেখানে ঘটেছে।
my land tax shows in website is 1240 tk, but when i go office and ask for paid, the officer(scamer) said it is 15500 tk , also i am see the website here now 15500, i am shock, however i am paid total amount, then he give me 1240 tk receipt, i am seeing why 1240 tk , then he left the office

I went to the Mirpur 10 Land Office to pay the land tax (khajna) for an apartment. After arriving, I was told that a minor correction was needed because the area name was incorrect in the khatian (land record). I was asked to pay BDT 12,000 for making this correction. When I asked whether the application could be submitted online, I was told that the server was down. However, within an hour of paying the money, the application was submitted online.
They asked 18000BDT just for a small nid correction even though I have all the papers they asked for but they rejected my online application and they said they may do it again, I cannot do anything about this Wrong : — Correction: — This correction category is “ক”. As expats we require various documents furnished from Bangladesh for various purposes in the country of our residence. To obtain a document in Bangladesh can be a nightmare. For the show we have all these digitized proceses but none of them actually work. I applied for the e apostlization of the marriage certificate of my parents online (didnt work) and then in person (rejected). The document is already notorized and attested by the MOFA. But since this new e apostle system has been introduced it is mandatory to get all the documents apostled. They are asking for 15000 bdt.
