Though i had every document required, an official requested an amount of 45000 tk. i rejected that proposal anyway. But the problem is - the work is lagging a lot due to not engaging them with bribe. In Pahartali, Chattogram, EPI vaccines for children are provided at the Chairman’s Office. The EPI card clearly states that both the vaccines and vaccination card are completely free. However, they are charging 100 taka just to make the card, sometimes even more based on the family’s financial status. They also demand an additional 20, 50, or 100 taka during each vaccination visit. When I protested, they said, “We don’t charge this in villages, but here you have to pay.” I refused to pay and left. This is a serious issue that should be investigated. If EPI services are officially free, people should not be forced to pay unofficial fees. I also have video evidence of the incident.

One officer checked my application and fully rejected it saying I'd have to apply for a whole new application by paying another 5k on the website. I went outside and one broker asked me what happened, I told him everything and he said he can fix it for 2500 tk. I tried bargaining but they wouldn't budge and no other way was left, so I paid him. He told me to tell the biometrics officer to omit my previous passport number from my new passport and I did exactly that. My passport application was later accepted.

In may i applied for a police clearance online. There was never any case against me, my profile was solid. I submitted every document they asked online. However, after 2/3 days I got a phone call from Kulaura thana. They called me at kulaura police station, I went there with all documents for verification. The computer operator (maybe constable) demanded directly if i give him some “cha panir tk” he will make my process smooth, otherwise it will be rejected. Then I gave him 1000 bdt. His number +880 17**-****02.
I went to the land office last month to collect the DCR, the government fee of which is only 1100 taka, but the person there demanded 70 thousand taka from me. Besides, he would not do this work. Later, we were forced to negotiate with him and convince him to pay 50 thousand taka. After 15-20 days, he gave us the DCR copy.

Few days ago at approximately 6:00 PM, our office vehicle was stopped by a traffic sergeant opposite Police Plaza, Gulshan. The officer asked which office the vehicle belonged to and asked the driver to have the office contacted. During the interaction, the officer indicated that a weekly arrangement should be made with the office. No specific amount was mentioned to us at the time. We did not agree to or make any such payment or arrangement. I am reporting this incident because the request appeared to be for a recurring unofficial benefit in connection with allowing the office vehicle to operate without such issues.

On third attempts, I talked to a few DALAL, and they said you have to pay at every step of the process, starting at the ভূমি অফিস, then at every single process and to every person. Otherwise, you have to walk down this street again and again, but you still can’t get your application approved, even though your application and documents are all good.
