When we later went to the Bangladesh Immigration Department in Agargaon, the process became unnecessarily complicated. Officials asked us to pay Tk 5,000 per person. After repeated requests, they agreed to waive the fee for our two children, and we ultimately paid Tk 12,000.

I was blackmailed by a junior officer who repeatedly called me for bribe and ultimately he succeeded to take bribe from me intimating that otherwise I had to pay 25 lac . All just blackmail by a junior officer .

After obtaining my visa, I applied for the BMET certification, which is required for Bangladesh immigration clearance. The process is supposed to be simple: verify the documents and issue the BMET smart card. During the document verification, the designated official refused to accept my documents. (There was long line, probably He is sitting somewhere in verification interview process) However, after I paid him 5,000 BDT off the record (out of office statement), he approved my application and allowed the BMET process to proceed. This incident occurred in September 2024.
