Bandarban Bazar fund agreement update process
My father had a shop in Bandarban Bazar Fund. When the agreement copy expired, I went to update it. I was told the actual cost should be only 12,575 taka. However, I was forced to pay 28,000 taka just to start the process, and even then, I did not receive the updated document. Later, they demanded another 2,000–3,000 taka to hand over the papers. In total, I am being charged nearly 31,000 taka, which is about 146% higher than the official cost. This means I am paying almost double the legitimate amount, simply because of corruption and irregular practices. What should have been a straightforward renewal has turned into a burden of bribery, exploitation, and injustice.
