In may i applied for a police clearance online. There was never any case against me, my profile was solid. I submitted every document they asked online. However, after 2/3 days I got a phone call from Kulaura thana. They called me at kulaura police station, I went there with all documents for verification. The computer operator (maybe constable) demanded directly if i give him some “cha panir tk” he will make my process smooth, otherwise it will be rejected. Then I gave him 1000 bdt. I went to the land office last month to collect the DCR, the government fee of which is only 1100 taka, but the person there demanded 70 thousand taka from me. Besides, he would not do this work. Later, we were forced to negotiate with him and convince him to pay 50 thousand taka. After 15-20 days, he gave us the DCR copy.
