I told them I needed the passport as fast as possible since I had a flight to china to catch by the end of the month for a really important study tour. (I applied for express delivery 48 pages, 10 years, 8050 BDT, delivery within 7 working days) They claimed that I have filled many info wrongly and thus I need to apply again for the passport. Means I have to pay the 8K bdt again. They even told me that there are no ways I can correct "the infos I have wrongly written" and the only way is to apply again. I did not pay any extra money till the end. I got my passport by the end of the month after many re-visits and hassles and eventually missed my flight.

I required Tax Certificates for the past 4 years. Contemporary automated tax certificates do not label the name of the companies that one has worked for, on a government letterhead. But I required that and after asking around, I was directed to visit Paltan Kor Circle-12. I laid out my query to the lead female officer (around her 50s), she said that it required them to print each of them and sign them. However, they would be charging 2k per signature and stamp for each tax paper. I told them to provide me with a receipt. They refused and said, "Apne egula kaaj koran nai tai apne jaanen na". I left without creating a ruckus, leaving it to Allah for the capital punishment.
I estimated 500-1000. I was driving along Kemal Ataturk Avenue from Badda and I was stopped and was told that I horned a while back in a horn free zone. As far as I remeber, there were "No Horn" roadsign along the road. I was told that it will go to court and I have to pay 30,000 taka at court if I wanted my license back. And asked if I have anything to say. They took my license. As I did not know what the law actually states, I called my uncle (who is also in DMP). He said there were no such thing and talked to the traffic sergeant. The sergeant became angry after the call even though he returned my license and let me go, asked me repeatedly why I had to call someone.

My father got a plot from Rajuk in purbachal new model town back in 1999. He passed away in 2018. When I went to Rajuk to ask them to re-register that plot into our names the women told me to hand over our original documents for registration. I didn’t know anything back then so after the registration process which was another hell I went to get our original papers back she said I need to pay 50,000 taka just to get my original papers from Rajuk’s storage unit. আমি গত বছর অক্টোবরে মাসে nid card এর জন্ম সাল সংশোধনের জন্য আবেদন করেছিলাম। আমাকে উপজেলা পর্যায় থেকে আগারগাঁও পাঠানো হয়। আমি আগারগাঁও যেয়ে কাগজ জমা দিলে আমাকে সেখান থেকে এক লোক কল দেয় আমার কাজ টা আর্জেন্ট করে দিবে নাহলে আবেদন বাতিল হবে। আমি বললাম আচ্ছা ঠিক আছে আর্জেন্ট করে দেন উনি আমার কাছে 10000 টাকা দাবি করে। পরে আমি উনাকে বলি আমার সব কাগজ লিগ্যাল আমি এত টাকা দিতে পারবো না। এখনও পর্যন্ত আমার আবেদনটি পেন্ডিং এ রেখে দিয়েছে। কোনো বাতিল ও করে নাই কোনো কিছুই করে নাই। আমি হেল্পলাইন এ কল দিয়ে জানাই বিষয়টি কোনো লাভ হয়নি।
I wanted apply for a driving license. When I went for the official proceeding, I was told that my application will remain pending for a long time. To have the license within the normal time period I need to pay 12000tk (7443tk more than required) through a intermediatory. I refused and didn't apply for the license anymore. I know two other people who got their license for both two wheeler vehicles and four wheeler vehicles through intermediaries by paying 12000 taka in Narsingdi.
Wanted to file a case of 10k. My driver agreed. Then the police said check again. My driver agreed for a 10k case after consulting me. Then police said bring 2500tk and no case will be filed. My driver said he cant as I as owner didnt agree. Then police said ok give 200 tk to the begger. Then my driver did that without consulting me and got rid of the case!
I am student going abroad for my further studies and due to that i needed my driving license really urgently as I will be needing it for my future.By that time when i got at BRTA there were some other jin er badshah who asked for 1.5lac bdt and told me that he could get the original one done 2-3years old date issued along with in online BRTA system as well. I just completely denied.
