I had a long pending FD as it matured long time ago and I was residing at Dhaka. I had to go to Chittagong Government Post Office (GPO) to collect the money from Dhaka. Understanding my scenario, they made the process more bureaucratic and asked for 5000 BDT to close the issue. I tried not giving the money, but it would have costed me more with the transportation and other cost (Dhaka-Ctg). Finally settled at 3000 BDT. Cash transaction took place at 11:45 am on 24th Aug,2026 at GPO.

paid the NID name correction bribery for my mother-in-law's NID due to urgent passport renewal. The officer initially demanded 12000 BDT, then after realizing urgency he demanded 3000 BDT more and threatened by saying "if you even go official or unofficial procedure in any other way, it will go through me and I will see how it can be approved." eventually forced to pay in total of 15000 BDT and corrected the NID just within 1 hour after that.
ব্যাংকের হাউজ লোন পাওয়ার জন্য আবেদন করি। কিন্তু নির্দিষ্ট অংকের টাকা ছাড়া হাউজ লোন করে দেয়া সম্ভব না বলে জানায়।হাউস লোনটি আমার খুবই প্রয়োজন, এজন্য আমি শেষমেষ বাধ্য হয়ে টাকা দিয়েছি।
