The police officer that was in duty during my verification for the clearance pointed to a "missing data", even though that data is optional in the passport. According to him, this is not acceptable and will cause issue in airports specially, and he will be investigated if he clears me. When I said this, he told me to wait outside and kept my father in the office (my father went with me as well, because he knew I will not pay bribe), and kept the bribe from him. paid the NID name correction bribery for my mother-in-law's NID due to urgent passport renewal. The officer initially demanded 12000 BDT, then after realizing urgency he demanded 3000 BDT more and threatened by saying "if you even go official or unofficial procedure in any other way, it will go through me and I will see how it can be approved." eventually forced to pay in total of 15000 BDT and corrected the NID just within 1 hour after that.
