While I was trying to save my excavator and driver from local mob in 2023-24, I called 999 to get the local police station involved. The SI took the keys of my excavator and operator was asked to meet him in PS. He kept the keys for 3 days and demanded 50k for the release. We called 999 again, and they assured me that he can't keep it, if a case hasn't been filed. When we refused to pay and asked him to file a case, following morning he got some random people to show up for case filing. However, through his higher authority in the police, we made him withdraw his plot and return the keys.

paid the NID name correction bribery for my mother-in-law's NID due to urgent passport renewal. The officer initially demanded 12000 BDT, then after realizing urgency he demanded 3000 BDT more and threatened by saying "if you even go official or unofficial procedure in any other way, it will go through me and I will see how it can be approved." eventually forced to pay in total of 15000 BDT and corrected the NID just within 1 hour after that.
