It was a regular police verification process for passport. I was called from the Dhamrai Police Station for the verification process. After checking all my documents, the police officer did a mockery by saying "তাহলে এখন তো কাজ শেষ, বাসায় যাবেন কীভাবে? আমি বললাম বাসে যাবো। তারপর সে বলে যে তাহলে বাসের ভাড়া টা দিয়ে দেই?" I went into deep shock hearing what he just said. To be sure, I asked him that I didn't quite understand what he had told. He then reiterated the same, but in more pronouncing gesture. This time I understood his language was different, not his intentions. So, I had to pay Tk 500. Otherwise he might have disproved the verification.
