Under Dhaka City Corporation, every house has a holding number. So, I went to the City Corporation office to apply for one. The officer checked all my documents and sent me to his assistant. The assistant politely collected all my papers and asked for 30,000 taka. I paid the amount, but unfortunately, he did not complete the work. A few months later, I heard that he had passed away. After that, I went to the new officer and explained everything. But the same thing happened again. They asked me for another 30,000 taka. I told them that I had already paid the same amount to the previous person, but they did not accept my explanation and again asked for the money. This time, I did not pay. Unfo
