I am currently working in a Govt. owned autonomous power plant. After joining, a police verification process was initiated by the office as required. The officer visited my permanent address at Patuakhali, as only our caretaker lives there he only checked out the house, asked some info and left. Few days later he came to Barishal where my parents live in their owned house (probably found address from info given by caretaker) unannounced. Then he show the village house photos and was talking about family with my father. Although he did not ask for the bribe but he implied he visited here and there with his bike. And my father gave him the money so that the verification process doesn’t hamper.
