Its impossible to get a driving license without bribe. I had to contact a dalal, who handled all my documents submission (actually no docs required except nid but in actual process it requires a load of documents). Later on the driving day, i just follow the formalities and eventually given fail on result, but after the day end the brta dalal operator changed the status to pass, and i passed the exam. There was a long line of cars and some local man who are definitely in league with BRTA office offered they can bypass the long line and can collect the number plate within 10 mins. Was in hurry and didn't have time to wait for 2 hours in a line, so paid the amount. The BRTA office definitely delays the process wo that people get forced to pay the bribe.

Normally driving test is a three step examination. First you have to pass the written, then viva then practical to qualify for the test. I successfully passed the written and viva, was confident about my practical too. But in the practical exam line i found lot of people who were also passed in previous written, viva but got failed in practical because of not contacting a dalal. I got nervous but still confident about my driving. They didn’t said anything, in the evening result came out and i was fail. Then i contacted with a dalal and without even driving a car or bike i got passed. I have to gave hime 4000 for just passing in the practical.
I buy a bike and for driving licence they charge me 7000 taka. But I have to appear at exams and driving test.

Scam during ownership transfer , BRTA officer introduced and asked us police verification certificate of the seller. ( Me) , I went to police station at my area no one knows about this then went back to brta a broker of that officer asked 3k he went with me into his room confirmed him he got the payment and right beside a ansar guy take out a form from his file fill it up and gave to that officer walla all is done in 20 minutes . I secretly recorder that officer just a reminder for me of his face ...
selling drivers license for 12000 package. pay the money to the broker and they will pass you without having you sit for the exam. Pretty common scenario for Uttara BRTA.
They were saying car’s files are in Mirpur BRTA but the smart card was issued from Uttara BRTA. Had to pay 10K to the Middleman for completing the process within a day.
