That’s why everyone pays a bribe to get their driving license, regardless of whether they pass or fail the test. If you pay a bribe, everyone passes. The authorities are also involved in this corruption.

I learned driving at the Driving Institute of Bangladesh in Banasree. They charged me **৳1,000 for the driving lessons** and **৳13,000 for the driving licence process**. I’m not completely sure, but I think around **৳3,500** of that was for the official driving licence fee at Tejgaon. They also told me that if I paid an **additional ৳1,000**, I wouldn’t need to take the driving test. I would just pay the money, and they would arrange the licence for me.

When I go to the BRTA to get my driving license, I usually say that I don't know how to drive properly, though I can ride a bike and handle a car a little bit. Then, they ask me for an extra 6,000 taka, and promise to get the license ready within 12 hours. And just like that, it gets done.
I just paid a broker, and he helped me get the licence. I only took the written exam and didn’t even take the driving test, yet I still got the licence.
Back in 2022 I attend the driving license exam and pass the written and practical test in both bike and car but in the end i saw i failed in a viva though i told all the road signs questions answers perfectly so now here comes “The LAL “ i had to pay extra almost 6k for the rest of the procedure and i did and got my license even after failed in viva
BRTA Driving licence
I had to bribe the officials an extra 2,000 for my driving license. It’s kind of an unwritten rule here if you don’t pay, you won’t pass the test.
Normally, even after paying the standard fee required to obtain a driving licence, they told me directly that they would not allow me to pass the driving test. They explicitly stated that if I paid BDT 12,500, they would arrange the driving licence without requiring me to take any kind of test. They also said that if I refused to pay the money, they would not allow me to obtain a driving licence under any circumstances. This was stated directly by the officials at the BRTA Shariatpur office.

Official cost is 5650 BDT, they demanded 11,300 BDT total, promised the test will be pased without challenge, and i cant pass if i go through regular challenge.

I goes there to get my motorcycle driving licence.They just make things difficult for all of us who didn't pay bribe them.As I am a job holder and cannot give much time to get my things done. So I paid them to get things done quickly and conviniently. But its a common practice in BRTA as I have seen these kinds situation a lot there
I passed the exam, but they asked me 20k for the plastic card copy of DL saying govt is currently not delivering card immediately
They demanded an additional 10,000 taka for my driving license, warning that even if I passed the practical test, they would not be approved unless I make contract with them.

After completing my driving license exam both the verbal one the written one and the Practical one i needed to submit my papers and pay my fees the government fees but when I try to do that I wasn't allowed to and they said they lost my document and I couldn't find my document even after searching through the whole building I went from ground floor to the second floor to the third floor they told me to go to different floors but at last I didn't find my papers after that I paid the bribe and after paying the bribe I got my license within 2 to 3 days so it was my experience in the brta Ekuria branch.
