One of the employees of Kushtia sub registry office, based in Kumarkhali, demands money for every land registry, which is completely illegal under the law. The registry office starts registrations after the evening and clients are managed outside the office.
Normally driving test is a three step examination. First you have to pass the written, then viva then practical to qualify for the test. I successfully passed the written and viva, was confident about my practical too. But in the practical exam line i found lot of people who were also passed in previous written, viva but got failed in practical because of not contacting a dalal. I got nervous but still confident about my driving. They didn’t said anything, in the evening result came out and i was fail. Then i contacted with a dalal and without even driving a car or bike i got passed. I have to gave hime 4000 for just passing in the practical.

My land was acquired by government for new road construction . Government approved money for acquisition but when I went DC office for withdrawal of money they demand bribe . I was totally helpless and i paid.
I went to the Mirpur 10 Land Office to pay the land tax (khajna) for an apartment. After arriving, I was told that a minor correction was needed because the area name was incorrect in the khatian (land record). I was asked to pay BDT 12,000 for making this correction. When I asked whether the application could be submitted online, I was told that the server was down. However, within an hour of paying the money, the application was submitted online.

আমার মেয়ের বার্থ সার্টিফিকেট এ বাংলা নাম ভুল আসে। এটা ঠিক করতে দিলে তারা কাজটা না করে ঝুলিয়ে রাখে। পরে টাকা দাবি করে। না দিলে কাজ হবে না বলে স্পষ্ট জানিয়ে দেয়। পরে বাধ্য হয়ে টাকা দিয়ে কাজটি করাই। এটা ঢাকা মহাখালী বাস স্টান্ডের পাশে যে সিটি করপোরেশন এর অফিস, সেখানে ঘটেছে।
As expats we require various documents furnished from Bangladesh for various purposes in the country of our residence. To obtain a document in Bangladesh can be a nightmare. For the show we have all these digitized proceses but none of them actually work. I applied for the e apostlization of the marriage certificate of my parents online (didnt work) and then in person (rejected). The document is already notorized and attested by the MOFA. But since this new e apostle system has been introduced it is mandatory to get all the documents apostled. They are asking for 15000 bdt.
I am currently working in a Govt. owned autonomous power plant. After joining, a police verification process was initiated by the office as required.
